I love God, kids and music so this course is a combination of those 3 passions because I get to teach KIDS about GOD using MUSIC! God has prepared me for this exciting task in some amazing ways. I've had plenty of experience teaching kids, both in the classroom as well as one-on-one, and I have learned using video classes myself. This has given me experience from the student's perspective which I now hope to use to be a better teacher. My personality, education and training have prepared me to run my own business, dream big and look for out-of-the-box ways that God can use my talents to teach others about Him. My goal is that someday there would be 100 churches around the world whose pianists started with my piano books/course! May the Lord be pleased to use me in this way!

  • Animated Story Lessons

    Engaging animated videos teach the concept of each lesson in the books in a way that is fun and interesting. Stories include characters such as Lolly the Lorikeet and Peggy Piano as they teach the young animals of Rainbowville about music and about God too! Many stories also teach your child the truths about God contained in the songs for that lesson.

  • Lessons Teaching the Songs

    Videos show an overhead shot of the piano keyboard while playing the song your student is learning. This helps students see exactly how to hold their hands, position their hands and play the song. Teaching videos also show the page being taught using animations to highlight what is being discussed at that time.

  • Motivation & Encouragement

    Several timer videos will be included that can be played each day while your child practises to motivate him or her to practise consistently. At the end of the practice session they will get some kind of encouragement from the character in that day's video!

FAQ

  • When does the course start and finish?

    You can start whenever you want! You can jump in whenever you want and then you have 2 months to complete the course before losing access to the classes. Lessons are released one per week from the time you enroll until all 8 lessons are available for you.

  • Are there any prerequisites for my child to start?

    Your child needs to know how to distinguish right and left hands, colours, number 1-5, and letters A to G. He or she also needs to be able to focus on the lesson videos for 5-7 minutes at a time as well as practising with your help. Lessons can be broken into bite-sized pieces and practice sessions can also be split up if this helps.

  • Do we have access to the teacher for questions?

    Lady Joy is happy to answer an occasional email for questions.

  • Who can use this course once I pay for it?

    The video course is to be used only for immediate family members, but you may use it for as many family members as you want during the duration of your subscription. If you wish for separate logins for each family member to track progress, please contact us as we'll be happy to provide them free of charge.

  • How long will it take my child to complete the course?

    The 8 lessons are set up to release one lesson per week for you as the students need practice time between for the concepts to sink in and their fingers to become accustomed to the songs.
